The scientific integration of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University into the European space has begun
From December 4 to 13, 2021, as part of the exchange of experience and in order to develop further cooperation between related faculties, a group of teachers from the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University University visited the Gdansk Polytechnic University (Poland).
The delegation included:
Nikola Leonidovich Antonov, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Associate Professor of the Department of «Electric Drive and Automation of Industrial Installations»;
Oleksiy Feliksovich Kuzkin, Dean of the Faculty of Transport, Professor of the Department of «Transport Technologies»;
Andriy Volodymyrovych Pyrozhok, Head of the Department of «Electric Drive and Automation of Industrial Installations», associate professor;
Alina Evgenivna Kazurova, associate professor of the department «Electric drive and automation of industrial installations»;
Roman Oleksandrovych Pavlyuk, senior laboratory assistant of the department «Electric drive and automation of industrial installations»;
Kateryna Micheslavivna Kolomiets, head of the laboratory of the department «Electric drive and automation of industrial installations».

At the Gdańsk Polytechnic, a delegation of teachers and employees of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University discussed the strategy of further cooperation with their Polish colleagues and signed a corresponding memorandum on international cooperation.

Interesting tours of the city of Gdańsk were conducted by Prof. Dr. Hab. Krystina Gomulka, who has supported and helped develop cooperation between the two universities from the very beginning.

Alina Kazurova, associate professor, candidate of technical sciences, gave a lecture in English on the theory of automatic control to Polish students in the second year of their master’s degree. She presented our Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University at the Gdańsk Polytechnic University.

On the basis of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic, a children’s and youth scientific university «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» was created, which set the goal of popularizing disciplines of mathematical and natural sciences and engineering professions, STEM education. During discussions and negotiations with the coordinator of the relevant program of the Gdansk Polytechnic, Dr. Beata Palczynska, real steps were outlined to exchange experience with European universities in working with youth and not only.
The future cooperation of our universities will allow us to implement joint projects that will demonstrate and show future engineers the direction in which they need to move in order to implement innovative solutions in education. It is also worth considering the future trajectory of professional growth of future engineers and the development of new technologies. Our experts met with Polish colleagues to see how such educational concepts work at the Gdańsk Polytechnic. The delegation told the hospitable hosts about our industrial, powerful, beautiful city of Zaporizhzhia, about the wonderful Cossack region, the island of Khortytsia, conveyed greetings from our Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the IAM cluster, the city’s enterprises (LTD Infocom, JSC Motor-Sich and others) and invited teachers from the Gdansk Polytechnic to visit us next year.
The Zaporizhzhia delegation of scientists conveyed greetings and information about Zaporizhzhia to the Gdansk City Hall from our city council. We would like to remind you that in September of this year, as part of the «Night of Science» at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, the city authorities of Zaporizhzhia and Gdansk welcomed the participants during an online meeting.
