Cooperation with Cardiff University (Cardiff University) within the framework of the «Union» initiative
Zaporizka Polytechnic National University continues cooperation with Cardiff University within the framework of the Twinning initiative.
Among the areas of agreed work is the holding of courses for education seekers and employees of our university to improve the level of English language proficiency, as well as advanced training courses for professional English language teachers.
The first stage will be the English Medium Instruction for Academics (EMI for Academics) course, which will allow teachers of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University to interact more effectively in the academic and scientific spheres and teach educational courses in English.
Teachers whose level of language training in English is average or higher will be invited to the first group. The training will take place from February 7-9, 2023 to March 28-30.
The next group will be organized for teachers who speak English at an intermediate or basic level (training from 24 April to 12 June 2023).
Groups will be formed by teachers of Cardiff University based on the results of a questionnaire containing a written task.
Currently, the Program contains components that can be changed taking into account the results of the questionnaire and the needs of the formed group.

Classes will be held twice a week.
The duration of the class is 1.5 hours.
Education is free for employees of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University.
Given the regular power outages and air alarms in Ukraine, tasks are provided for independent study, but we hope that the course participants will find the opportunity to attend online classes according to the schedule, since interaction with the teacher and colleagues will be a guarantee of work efficiency. Course participants who attend 70% or more online classes and successfully complete the program will receive a certificate certifying completion of training.
The deadline for completing the questionnaire is 31.01.2023 inclusive (until 23:59).
