Spartakiad «Entrant-2024»
On March 2, chess competitions were held at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University as part of the Spartakiad «Entrant-2024».
10 students from 6 schools of the city took part in the competitions: gymnasium No. 28, Khortytsky Academic Lyceum, Collegium «Elint», gymnasium No. 103, gymnasium No. 46, gymnasium No. 31.
The team championship was won by gymnasium No. 28. The team included Mykyta Prokhorov, Artem Solyanko, Andriy Yupatov.
The strongest chess player of the tournament was Mykyta Prokhorov from gymnasium 28. The second place went to Volodymyr Grigoriev from Gymnasium No. 31, the third to Andriy Yupatov, who represented Gymnasium No. 28.
All winners and participants received awards from the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University.
The winners were awarded by the 25-time champion of Ukraine, 11-time European champion and 12-time world champion among youth in checkers, a graduate of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports Management, postgraduate student of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University Bohdan Panchenkov, who noted the high level of preparation of the participants in the competition.
The high-quality conduct of the tournament was ensured by the judging panel consisting of: world champion in fencing, Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine, senior lecturer of the Department of Physical Culture, Olympic and Non-Olympic Sports – Tetyana Napalkova; Senior Lecturer Olena Kyrychenko; Associate Professor of the Department Yurii Zhuravlev; Head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports Management, Master of Sports of Ukraine in Athletics, Professor Vasyl Mazin.
We would like to thank the student government, the representative of Gymnasium No. 46 Oksana Meshkova and the representative of the Khortytsky Academic Lyceum Oleksandr Remeshevsky for their organizational assistance, and the trade union committee of university students for their financial support of the event!
