Templates and abstract concepts in the «Carousel of Directions»
On November 18, students of the «Carousel of Directions» group of the Children’s and Youth Scientific University of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University continued their training in cybersecurity from Cardiff University (Wales, Great Britain).
The lesson began with consolidating the material of the previous lesson, and the children also had the opportunity to demonstrate their improved programs that they made last Saturday, if they wished. Ivan Badrak developed his game in Python, which illustrated the possibility of various types of interaction between game characters.
Today, children learned to recognize patterns and patterns in solving complex problems, improved their abstract thinking, and applied this knowledge and skills to practical situations.
Iryna Bernyk, a postgraduate student in cybersecurity at the Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics at Cardiff University, prepared interesting puzzles and intelligence tasks for students, which raised many questions and became a topic for discussion. The lesson ended with a multi-level game for the development of logical thinking, in which it was necessary to safely transport a cowboy, scouts, domestic and predatory animals, robots and even monsters from one bank of the river to the other.
We believe that thanks to the international cooperation of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic and Cardiff University, Zaporizhzhia students will broaden their worldview and become one step closer to the profession of their dreams!
On November 18, 2023 young students of the «Carousel of Directions» at the Children and Youth Scientific Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University continued their Cybersecurity course from Cardiff University (Wales, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Nothern Ireland).
The class began with the consolidation of the content covered the week before. The participants could demonstrate their improved programs, which they created during their first meeting. Ivan Badrak developed his game in Python and illustrated the possibility of different types of interaction between game characters.
Today, young scientists learned to recognize regularities and patterns in solving complex problems, improved their abstract thinking, and applied their knowledge and skills to practical situations.
Iryna Bernyk, PhD student in Cybersecurity, School of Computer Science and Informatics, Cardiff University, prepared interesting puzzles and brain teasers for the students. That was the basis of an interesting vivid discussion.
