Secret materials of the circle «Carousel of directions»
On November 4, the first meeting of students of grades 6-7 took place within the circle «Carousel of Directions» of the Children’s and Youth Scientific University of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic. 70 students from 18 general secondary education institutions of the Zaporizhzhia region expressed their desire to study in a group.
The carousel of directions from Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic began with metallurgical forensics, deductive welding and secret materials. Children, under the guidance of creative teachers of law and engineering and physics faculties, conducted an interactive investigation of mysterious accidents and catastrophes from the point of view of technical malfunctions (correct/incorrect choice of alloy, method of connection, manufacturing) and discussed the legal justification of the resulting consequences. Schoolchildren showed themselves to be diligent and attentive jurors, quickly found the culprits in loud man-made disasters!
We are grateful for the initiative and creative approach to the teachers of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic Olha Shiyan, Arnold Kupin, Hanna Lapteva, Elizaveta Fasol, Olha Sergienko and all the children for their active participation and interest. We are sure that such classes will open up the world of modern professions for Zaporizhzhia schoolchildren!
