Development of strategic cooperation between Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University and Cardiff University (Great Britain)
On 06.07.22, another extended meeting was held within the framework of the project to develop cooperation between the National University «Zaporizha Polytechnic» and Cardiff University (Great Britain) with the assistance and direct participation of Phil Gray, Director of Work with Partners of Cormack Consultancy Group. The meeting discussed specific steps to develop strategic cooperation between our universities.
NU «Zaporizha Polytechnic» was represented by the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and International Activities, Prof. Valeriy Naumyk, Advisor to the Rector, Prof. Serhiy Belikov, Head of the Center for I and MS, Dmytro Plynokos. In addition, the university departments presented their presentations and proposals for the development of bilateral cooperation.
The Department of Electric Drive and Automation of Industrial Plants was represented by the head of the department Andriy Pirozhok and associate professor Alina Kazurova. The presentation of the scientific laboratory project was made by Prof. Dmytro Pavlenko and associate professor of the Department of Physical Materials Science Daria Tkach.
From Cardiff University, Prof. Omer Rana, Dean of International Development of the Institute of Physical Sciences and Engineering, presented proposals and directions for development in the technical field.
Helen Evans, Director of English Programs at Cardiff University, presented opportunities for learning English for teachers and students of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic.
In addition, they lively discussed the project of jointly holding the Science Night in 2022.
Of particular interest to both parties is student exchange and international mobility of university students and postgraduates. Opportunities for cooperation in this area were outlined by Mariia Pavlenko, Head of the Student Government of our university.
In general, the parties reached an understanding of strategic goals and opportunities for implementing joint projects.
