Development of international activities at the university
The international activity of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University has diversified areas of development, and today the university offers students, teachers and scientists mobility programs both under international programs (Fulbright, DAAD) and individual mobility programs under bilateral agreements. During March and April, new cooperation agreements were concluded with universities in Poland and Germany, and offers for internships and scientific research were received for university employees.
Access to the Research4Life community was provided for university scientists. Free access (until 12/31/2022) is provided to almost 75,000 books and over 12.5 thousand journals of various subjects collected in leading scientific institutions around the world.
Work continues with foreign students, and Rector Viktor Greshta is further coordinating the admission procedure for foreign citizens. Together with representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science and rectors of leading universities in Ukraine, mechanisms have been developed for organizing distance admission for foreign students.
For the further development of international education, Vice-Rector for International Affairs Valerii Naumyk joined the work of the constantly operating European Association for International Education (EAIE). The goal of this association is to support the internationalization and development of international activities of European universities by conducting trainings, studies, scientific conferences and symposiums, which allows expanding professional contacts at the international level.
At the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» joined the «Unity» program, which was created by the British consulting company in the field of higher education «Cormack Consultancy Group», which aims to establish cooperation between universities in Ukraine, Great Britain, the USA and create long-term strategic alliances between universities.
