Extended meeting of the student trade union and student self-government
On February 8, a scheduled extended meeting of the student self-government and the university student trade union was held in room 253. The meeting was held by the head of the university student trade union, Ivanchenko Andriy Volodymyrovych. The event was attended by the rector of ZNTU, Belikov Serhiy Borisovich, and the vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work and student education, Yarimbash Serhiy Timofiyovych.
The main event of the meeting was the report of the vice-rector, Yarimbash S.T. on the state of educational work at the university in 2012. His report was taken into consideration, and his work as vice-rector was recognized as satisfactory.
Sergiy Timofeevich shared his plans for the current year, in which he revealed new areas of educational work at the university and the improvement of existing ones.
During the meeting, the following aspects of student life were considered: «Site and press service of the student trade union committee», «Tax discount for contract students», «Registration of subsidies for students living in a dormitory», «Work of the ZNTU sanatorium-dispensary», «Results of winter health improvement of students», «Recruitment to the public order protection formation «Shield»», «Events for Valentine’s Day», «Training in driving school», «Scholarship of the Zaporizhzhia Mayor», honor board «Best University Students», «Organization of Donor Day», «Beauty Contest «Miss Spring ZNTU-2013», «STEM Festival «Student Jokes»», «Student Spring – 2013» and «Summer Vacation in Bulgaria».
The rector of the university, Serhiy Borisovich Belikov, answered and addressed the pressing questions of the student body regarding the renewal of the material and technical base of the university assembly hall (purchase of new sound and lighting equipment), changes in the study schedule (a long break for students studying in the second shift), repair of the roofs of dormitories No. 3 and No. 2, installation of a Wi-Fi network and benches in building No. 2.
The student body thanked the university administration for the financial support of students from the scholarship fund – athletes, scientists, amateurs, law enforcement officers, public and trade union activists, for providing premises for organizing the work of student activists, for providing funds for the participation of our team from the KVK in games in Dnipropetrovsk, Odessa, Sochi, for personal participation and interest in student events of our «Mashinka».
