Working meeting of the Board of Directors of enterprises and organizations of Zaporizhzhia region
The rector of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University Viktor Greshta took part in the working meeting of the Board of Directors of enterprises and organizations of Zaporizhzhia region under the Zaporizhzhia Regional Federation of Employers. The meeting was held on September 5, at which they discussed the problems faced by employers during the war. During the meeting, the relevance of the initiatives proposed by the university was noted.
One of the main problems is the lack of engineering and technical personnel at industrial enterprises of the Zaporizhzhia region. The Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic team sees the solution to this issue in introducing new forms of cooperation between the university and enterprises, in implementing the developed concept for the development of natural and mathematical education and popularizing technical education while still at school.
The Zaporizhzhia Regional Federation of Employers, together with the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, prepared an appeal with proposals that were created specifically for the rapid inclusion of industry in innovation processes. Among them are the active implementation of dual education and the development of joint research activities.
We thank the ZOFR for supporting the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University in participating in the USAID energy security project. We have already made a decision on the university to obtain cogeneration units with a total capacity of 500 kW. However, their installation requires not only equipment and physical resources, but also the development of design and estimate documentation, obtaining the necessary permits and carrying out installation work. Public support will ensure the full implementation of the project. It will not only become the basis of the university’s energy supply, but also implement the social mission of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University: we will be able to share energy with the social and critical infrastructure of the city of Zaporizhzhia.
The meeting also discussed the draft regulations of the Board of Directors and Organizations of Zaporizhzhia Region at the Zaporizhzhia Regional Federation of Employers and the creation of a certification center based on the State Enterprise «UkrNDIspetsstal».
Another important issue was the development of mechanisms for forming preferential tariffs for electricity for energy-intensive enterprises of the Zaporizhzhia region.
We hope for fruitful cooperation and effective actions!
