Repairs in student dormitory No. 4

The student campus of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic combines in its structure six student dormitories, which can accommodate more than 2,500 residents.

The largest of the dormitories in the campus is dormitory No. 4, which houses the Volunteer Headquarters for people who were forced to evacuate from temporarily occupied territories and zones of active hostilities. Work with the Czech humanitarian organization «People in Need» @PeopleinNeedUkraine has been started since October 2022 to provide the necessary assistance.

With the financial support of the European Union and in partnership with the organization «Man in Trouble», large-scale construction works are being carried out in student dormitory #4.

To date, a lot has already been done, namely:

• repair works on three residential blocks of the 7th, 8th and 9th floors of the dormitory;
• replaced entrance doors to living rooms;
• painted ceiling and walls on the block;
• repair, refinishing and varnishing of the parquet;
• repairs were carried out in sanitary rooms for common use and kitchens;
• tiles are laid;
• painting of the walls is done;
• plumbing, sinks replaced;
• metal-plastic doors to sanitary rooms were installed;
• new lamps were installed.

We would like to thank the reliable partner of the University Volunteer Headquarters, an international humanitarian organization, for creating comfortable conditions in the student dormitories of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University, where citizens from the temporarily occupied territories have now found shelter.
