Regional stage of the All-Ukrainian competition of professional skills “WorldSkills Ukraine” in the competence “Mechatronics”
On June 17, at the initiative and support of the Department of Education and Science of the Zaporizhia Regional State Administration, the regional stage of the All-Ukrainian competition of professional skills “WorldSkills Ukraine” in the “Mechatronics” competency was held in a remote format at the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University. The competition was held for the first time in the Zaporizhia region. The competition brought together talented youth, educators, and representatives of modern industry to develop professional skills and popularize engineering professions.
The participants were welcomed by the rector of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University Viktor Greshta, the head of the Festo Didaktyka State Enterprise Yevhen Ryzhenko, as well as the members of the competition jury: Roman Savilov, mechanization and automation engineer of Kostal Ukraine LLC, Mykola Oleinikov, Project Lead Building Engineering Solutions, and Oleksandr Yushko, head of the APCS bureau of the Dniprospetsstal Private Joint-Stock Company (electrometallurgical plant).
Among the jury members were two graduates of the Department of Electric Drive and Automation of Industrial Installations of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University — former winners of mechatronics competitions. Today they already act as experts of the competition, confirming the high level of training of specialists and the success of the educational trajectory from student to industry professional.
The evaluation of the competition works was carried out by experts: Volodymyr Osadchy and Olena Nazarova, associate professors of the Department of Electric Drive and Automation of Industrial Installations of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University; Roman Borovyk, senior lecturer of the Department of Electric Drives, NTU “Dnipro Polytechnic”.
Three teams took part in the competition:
– Oleksiy Tertyshny (E-315sp), Timofey Poleshko (E-313), Danil Ivlev, (E-714).
– Nikita Bondar, Ivan Gordienko, Yegor Vovk (all – E-714)
– Timofey Panarin, Andriy Shakhanov, Danylo Matyash (all – E-315m)
The results will be announced by the organizing committee after the completion of the regional stages of all competencies in the Zaporizhia region.
