Together we will win!
Since the beginning of the war, Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic has become a place of assistance and a center of volunteer activity. Currently, adults and children from different parts of Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions, students and employees of colleges from the cities of Tokmak and Berdyansk, and students of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic are staying in our university’s dormitories.
All of them were forced to leave their homes, because active hostilities are currently taking place there.
In today’s realities, they found themselves in a difficult situation – they were left without financial support. Their permanent places of residence became temporarily occupied territories, zones of active hostilities.
They lost their jobs, experienced rocket and artillery shelling, and were left homeless. As a result, there is no even a minimal source of income and no clear understanding of what will happen next.
We will never leave these people without support, because each of them is now part of our big family. We are responsible for their well-being! That is why, starting today, the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University will provide food packages to everyone who needs it.
This became possible thanks to the joint work of many people. Therefore, we express our sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in the implementation of this aid:
- Volyn Regional Charitable Foundation «Ark» for providing humanitarian aid;
- Professor of the National Technical University «Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute», Chairman of the Board of the NGO «Academic Space» Olha Ilyash for coordinating actions and making it possible to provide humanitarian aid to those in need;
- Zaporizhzhia City Council and personally Anatolii Kurtiev for understanding and appealing to send humanitarian aid specifically to our university;
- the Rectorate of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University for the initiative, organizational support and provision of university premises for storage, packaging and distribution of food kits;
- the executive body of the student self-government of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University for unloading, packaging and organizing the distribution of food kits;
- the primary trade union organization of students, graduate students and doctoral candidates of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University for allocating funds for transport services for the delivery of 20 tons of humanitarian cargo from Novovolynsk to the university, packaging and consumables, organizational and information work.
