Project «Media Detox: Consume Quality Information»
Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University and NGO «Social Interaction» are active participants in the project «Media Detox: Consume Quality Information».
4 trainings were held within its framework:
- «Algorithms of information dissemination in social networks, viral content. Safety and info-hygiene in social networks» (07. 06. 2023)
- «Manipulation. Disinformation. Propaganda. Destructive influences, zombification and how to fight it (basics of fact-checking)» (09. 06. 2023)
- «How information manipulation leads to human rights violations» (12. 06. 2023)
- «Filtering news content of public Telegram channels» (15. 06. 2023)
They were joined by students of the «Journalism» specialty, teachers, practicing journalists, and schoolchildren interested in the media sphere.
The main goal was to teach consumers of various types of information to perceive it critically. In addition, the training participants learned to recognize Russian propaganda narratives and understand what they are aimed at.
We educate media-literate consumers and develop critical thinking together!
