Career orientation session from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Devices
Last week, the Department of Electrical and Electronic Devices held a career orientation session for students of Gymnasium 46 at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University. The session was conducted according to the course plan «Technologies for Creating the Internet of Things», which is read to students in grades 10 and 11 by Professor of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Devices Mykhailo Polyakov.
Professor Petro Andrienko spoke about the areas and content of study at the Electrical Engineering Faculty and about the educational programs of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Devices, and also introduced the laboratories of the department.
Professor Mykhailo Polyakov conducted a practical session on electronics and microcontroller programming and creating control programs for elements of the Smart EA laboratory complex of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Devices. He was assisted in this by senior students.
The students got acquainted with the electronic circuit modeling package, the Arduino microcontroller board simulator and its real programming environment, wrote several programs in the C + programming language to control devices of varying complexity: from LEDs to sensors, joysticks, motors and displays.
Associate Professor of the Department Volodymyr Vasylevskyi introduced the students to the technologies of using 3D printers and presented them with a part created on a 3D printer during the lesson, and also told the details of admission to the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University.
The students also visited the university museum and the Internet of Things auditorium of the Department of Software.
