Results of the online forum «Internationalization as a measure of the quality of education»

Today, March 1, the forum «Internationalization as a measure of the quality of education» was held at Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the National Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education, and the National Qualifications Agency.

The rector of the university, Viktor Hreshta, and the general director of the Directorate of Professional Pre-Higher, Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine, Oleh Sharov, made a welcome speech.

Chairman of the National Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education Andrii Butenko emphasized the strengthening of the competitiveness of Ukrainian universities on the European market of educational services.

The speech of the member of the National Agency of Qualifications Yurii Rashkevych was devoted to the comparison of the National and European Framework of Qualifications.

Head of the Department of Educational Projects of the British Council in Ukraine, Liudmyla Tatsenko, outlined the available opportunities and proposals from British partners.

Speakers also gave speeches:

Gryhoriy Mozolevych — head of the expert group on integration into the European Research Area, Directorate of Science and Innovation of the Ministry of Education and Culture;

Volodymyr Bakhrushin — coordinator of the higher education sector of the Scientific and Methodological Council of the Ministry of Education and Culture, a member of the National Expert Team on Higher Education Reform; professor and head of the Academic Council of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University;

Olena Kolesnikova — member of the National Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education, head of the Industry Council of the Federation of Metallurgists of Ukraine;

Oleksandr Dlugopolskyi is a member of the National Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education;

Ihor Lyman is the head of GER «Humanities» of the National Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education, member of the Presidium of the All-Ukrainian NGO «Innovative University», coordinator of the Office of Scientist Support;

Vitalii Tereshchuk is the head of the Department of International Journalism at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University.

After the speeches of the invited speakers, under the moderation of Ruslan Kulikovsky, the vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work and issues of perspective development of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University, a panel discussion was held by university experts on improving the strategy of internationalization at Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University.

At the forum, it was emphasized that Ukrainian education and science must meet the best world standards, and internationalization is not only participation in international programs and initiatives, but also the updating of curricula, educational programs, programs of educational disciplines, the introduction of modern technologies and methods, the development of intercultural competence of participants in the educational process.

All participants had the opportunity to communicate directly with the speakers and experts of the university, to get answers to the questions.

The general moderation of the forum was carried out by the head of the department of prospective development, licensing, accreditation and quality of education of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University, Olena Skuibida.
