Exchange of experience with teachers of Lublin universities
The Rector of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University Viktor Greshta and Vice-Rector Andriy Ivanchenko, together with members of the Association of Azov-Black Sea Universities, visited Lublin universities to exchange experience and get acquainted with the material and technical base of higher education institutions.
The Higher School of Entrepreneurship and Administration in Lublin is a private higher education institution that does not engage in scientific activities, but conducts an educational process aimed at training students at the bachelor’s and master’s levels. The Rector of the University, Mariia Mazur, presented the university and was also interested in the features of the blended and distance learning format in Ukrainian higher education institutions. She also introduced the delegation to student volunteers from Ukraine and other countries who help internally displaced persons from Ukraine. For this work, they were awarded a medal from the mayor of Lublin.
In each faculty of the institution, advisory councils with the participation of representatives of stakeholders, teachers and student self-government are actively working. The councils meet at least twice a year, can change curricula, educational components, conduct an analysis of the educational process and organize internships.
The delegation of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic also met with the director of the Association of Territorial Communities of Lublin, which unites 21 communities around Lublin, the Lublin Business Association and the head of the Lublin Association of Public Organizations.
The most inspiring was the meeting with the director of programs of the Change Leaders Foundation, Myroslav Skorka, who assured support for the initiatives of the newly established Association of Azov-Black Sea Universities.
At the Medical University of Lublin, the delegation was welcomed by the university’s rector, Mr. Załuska. The Medical University is the smallest and most financially successful university in the city. The newest buildings of the 6 faculties and state-of-the-art equipment impressed the project participants. The Medical University’s experience in organizing, writing and implementing both internal and external grants, which Polish colleagues gladly shared, prompted the leadership of Ukrainian universities to strengthen work on this area in their own teams.
