NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» at the «Reintegration of Communities» Forum
The Rector of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University Viktor Greshta took part in the «Reintegration of Communities» Forum, which was held on September 22 in Zaporizhzhia.
The forum was held with the support of USAID, the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, and the Association of Unconquered Communities.
The speakers of the event were Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba, Vice Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk, Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovych, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Head of the Ukrainian Delegation to PACE Mariia Mezentseva, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, Head of the Regional Military Administration Yurii Malashko, Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov, as well as representatives of the UN and USAID.
The Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic team considers the development of the Zaporizhzhia region, the development of the region’s infrastructure, the creation of educational ecosystems, the introduction of modern high-tech technologies at the region’s enterprises, and the improvement of the standard of living of our fellow citizens to be among its main goals, so the topics of the panels emphasized the importance of our initiatives. Among them:
- training specialists who will be able to immediately begin working on the integration of communities into the system of Ukrainian statehood after the deoccupation of the territories
- restoring Ukrainian broadcasting and creating information campaigns to combat Russian propaganda
- integration of veterans into society (assistance in mastering civilian specialties)
- searching for joint economic solutions and developing an individual approach for deoccupied and frontline territories
- focusing on mental support for the population
- international cooperation and cooperation with donors
We are confident that our state is ready for different scenarios, but the final outcome will be the same – victory and complete renewal of the entire territory of Ukraine. We are building our region together!
