Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University has become a full member of the European University Association

Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University is expanding the international horizons of cooperation. Due to the constant development of international relations, improving the quality of education, and the high level of teaching and research, our university was elected a full individual member of the European University Association (EUA).

The European University Association (EUA) represents more than 850 universities and national conferences of rectors in 49 European countries. The Association plays a crucial role in the Bologna Process and in influencing EU policy on higher education, research and innovation.

The granting of the status of a full individual participant was the result of the active policy of internationalization of our university, the signing of the Magna Charta; entry into international rankings (Multirank); participation in international projects Erasmus+, DAAD; participation in large regional cooperation associations (Black Sea Universities Network BSUN), concluded cooperation agreements with international partners and many other events that increased the rating of our university and international recognition.

 Our university received support from leading universities in the world, our partners – Lviv Polytechnic (Ukraine), Ovidius University of Constanta (Romania), Madrid Polytechnic (Spain), Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium).

Our university received great support from the Union of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine, where the university’s rector, Prof. Viktor Greshta, is a representative as the chairman of the council of rectors in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University, within the framework of the association’s work, will contribute to the development of a harmonious system of European higher education and research, and to the development of the quality of education, teaching, and research. The Association evaluates the results of discussions held at the pan-European level, the results of which will influence the work of university associations at the national level, as well as individual members of the association, and plays a decisive role in shaping European higher education and scientific research.

Thanks to continuous interaction with a number of other European and international organizations, the European University Association guarantees that the independent voice of European universities will be heard.

We congratulate the staff and students of the university on this event, because joining the ranks of the association opens up even more new prospects for NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» in the European educational space.
