International Holocaust Remembrance Day
On January 27, the whole world pays tribute to the victims of the Holocaust and commemorates those who died in Nazi concentration camps.
In Ukraine, Babyn Yar is a symbol of mourning – the site of mass shootings, where about a hundred thousand people were killed, including people of different nationalities, including Jews.
At a meeting of the history club, students of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University sought answers to extremely complex and urgent questions: Why did the Holocaust become possible? What caused this tragedy and what factors contributed to it? What needs to be done to prevent anything like this from happening again?
