International program for the formation of digital educational spaces of German and Ukrainian universities EU-ViMUk
With the support of the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD and the Dortmund Institute of Applied Sciences and Arts (responsible person – Honorary Professor of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, Director of the IDiAL Institute Carsten Wolf), work has started on the international educational project EuroPIM Virtual Master School Ukraine (EU-ViMUk). The project is aimed at the formation of digital communities of participants in German and Ukrainian higher education, the further development and modernization of Ukrainian educational programs and the digitalization of educational spaces of higher education institutions of Ukraine. The project involves teachers and students from Ukrainian universities:
- Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University (NUZP);
- Kyiv National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (KNUBA);
- Western Ukrainian National University (ZUNU).
NUZP teachers will develop and integrate into the NUZP Distance Learning System (Moodle) and the electronic learning environment of the Dortmund Institute of Applied Sciences and Arts (Digital Education Ecosystem, DEE) and electronic educational and methodological support (eLearning) complexes in the following disciplines of master’s training:
- Evolutionary Programming (Prof. Serhiy Subbotin);
- Fundamentals of Computational Intelligence (Prof. Serhiy Subbotin);
- Design of Internet of Things systems (Prof. Galyna Tabunshchyk);
- Design, modeling and quality assurance of software systems (Prof. Galyna Tabunshchyk)
- Cyber-physical systems (Assoc. Prof. Anzhelika Parkhomenko);
- CAD/CAM/CAE systems (Assoc. Prof. Anzhelika Parkhomenko, Assoc. Prof. Olha Gladkova);
- Theory of synthesis of digital systems on FPGA (Assoc. Prof. Iryna Zelenyova, Assoc. Prof. Tetyana Holub);
- Methods for synthesizing energy-efficient systems on FPGA (Assoc. Prof. Iryna Zelenyova, Assoc. Prof. Tetyana Holub)
Four students from the Department of Software, two students from the Department of Computer Systems and Networks, a student and a postgraduate student from the Department of Information Technologies of Electronic Devices, and one student from the Department of Electric Drive and Automation of Industrial Installations of the National University of Applied Sciences are also involved in the project. The results of the scientific research of students and postgraduates are planned to be presented at the 2023 IEEE European Technology and Engineering Management Summit (IEEE E-TEMS 2023, https://etems.digital/2023/ ), which will be held on April 20-22, 2023 in Kaunas (Lithuania) at the Kaunas University of Technology.
It is also planned to participate in the winter school on November 14-18, 2022, in person and online, which will be held at the Dortmund Institute of Applied Sciences and Arts. The participation in person is funded by the ViMaCs and Eastern Partnership projects.
The synergy with the projects «WORK4CE: Cross-domain competences for healthy and safe work in the 21st century» (619034-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) and Virtual Master Cooperation Data Science (ViMaCs), which are already being implemented at the NUZP, will contribute to the further internationalization of the university and the creation of a modern digital educational space to improve the quality of educational services.
