Memorandum of Cooperation with LLC «VELON»
On September 20, the rector of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University Viktor Greshta and the head of LLC «VELON» Andriy Barbashov signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The problems associated with energy saving and energy efficiency are becoming more and more relevant every year. Scientists, developers and manufacturers are studying them and implementing solutions. One of these manufacturers is LLC «Velon» – a manufacturer of energy-saving ventilated facade systems.
The partners identified the first issues regarding joint work:
- development of scientific and research activities
- modernization of the educational and methodological sphere
- dual education
- educational and methodological sphere
- employment and internships
During the meeting, the idea of joint scientific developments on the use of renewable energy sources based on ventilated facade systems was discussed. It is planned to develop and implement industrial samples of the corresponding integrated equipment, which will replace the elements of the ventilated facade for the possibility of generating energy through the use of renewable sources.
The creation and operation of the laboratory will also allow training of higher education students, representatives of local governments, heads of condominium associations, businesses, media, students and all other segments of the population, as well as significantly popularize the use of renewable energy sources and demonstrate in practice the advantages of using these systems for buildings of all types to increase their energy efficiency, energy security and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
In addition, the development of a vertical facade landscaping system based on ventilated facades is proposed, which will not only decorate the facades of buildings, but also significantly improve the ecological and aesthetic components of our communities. In addition, ventilated facade systems simultaneously provide the opportunity for partial integration of lighting systems, video surveillance, signaling, as well as advertising and information elements.
