Master class for children of internally displaced persons from Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic
On May 17, a master class for internally displaced schoolchildren was held at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University on the initiative of People’s Deputy Artem Kunayev and the rector of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University Viktor Greshta.
The Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic team prepared an interactive quest at five locations on various topics:
- virtual reality with full immersion in the 3D world
- space for controlling drones
- microbit programming
- mechatronics
- smart home
At each location, schoolchildren accompanied and helped to acquire new skills by teachers and employees from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Radio Electronics.
As part of the program, children tried themselves as drone operators, mastered the technique of working in VR glasses, got acquainted with the basics of robotics and process automation, were engaged in programming and worked with smart home technology.
After the main part, the students received sweet gifts and chatted with the team of organizers in a warm informal atmosphere.
At the end, the rector of the university Viktor Greshta thanked our guests for their active participation in the master class and invited the students to visit future events from Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic.
