Round table on the topic of legislative initiatives to reform the system of higher and professional pre-higher education

A round table was held at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University with the participation of Oleh Sharov, Director General of the Directorate of Professional Pre-Higher and Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, on the topic of legislative initiatives to reform the system of higher and professional pre-higher education, support for educational institutions under martial law.

At the beginning of the event, the rector of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic Viktor Greshta welcomed the guests. He emphasized that our main educational goal is to provide high-quality education, respond to modern challenges and introduce innovative approaches to the implementation of the educational and scientific process. To improve the quality of human capital in order to increase the intellectual potential and economic development of the Zaporizhzhia region and the country as a whole.

Mr. Oleh held two meaningful meetings: the first for directors and employees of professional colleges, the second for the management of higher education institutions of the Zaporizhzhia region and universities relocated to Zaporizhzhia from the occupied territories.

During the presentation, Oleh Igorovich focused on important issues regarding the return to the formulaic distribution of funding, a new list of fields of knowledge and specialties, the procedure for renewal and transfer of higher education applicants, conducting the Unified State Examination, the procedure for admission to higher education institutions, the preparation and conduct of NMT, the reorganization of pre-higher education institutions, changes aimed at implementing European integration processes.

At the end of the meeting, topical issues regarding the presented legislative initiatives.

The administration and university staff conducted a tour for Oleh Igorevich, during which they presented the most significant scientific achievements and educational initiatives of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University.
