Round table «Honoring the poet»
We affirm the image of a highly educated Ukrainian nation, elevate the meaning of the Ukrainian word and cherish the invaluable treasure – our language, popularizing it.
Love for our own history and the increase in the cultural heritage of our people is an important and promising direction of scientific and informational activities of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University.
On May 24, 2023, on the occasion of the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Culture, on the initiative and participation of the Department of Ukrainian Studies and General Language Training, an interfaculty round table «The Greatness of Personality» was held, dedicated to honoring the outstanding Ukrainian poet, author of the words of the anthem of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University – Hryhoriy Ivanovich Lyuty.
Photos were presented poet, Honored Artist of Ukraine, member of the National Union of Ukrainian Writers, laureate of the M. Androsov, V. Lisnyak, G. Skovoroda Literary Awards, long-time editor of the literary and artistic magazine «Khortytsia», honorary citizen of the city of Zaporizhzhia. Everyone who wanted to could look at his books, as well as listen to the artist’s poetry, which was recited by students, teachers, and the author (in archival recordings). During the event, Galyna Onufrienko, Kateryna Bondarchuk, and Lina Myronyuk shared their memories of creative meetings with the poet.
The specialists of the scientific library of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University – the head of the reading rooms department Svitlana Mazur and the chief methodologist of the scientific library Hanna Myrovska, as well as students of various faculties of our university: Novotarsky Mykola (SP), Dev’yanin Oleksiy (KNT-132), Maksymenko Oleksandr (KNT-212), Deryabin Volodymyr (E-511), Voronina Anastasiia (MTE-412), Holovatenko Kseniia (MTE-412) – took part in arranging and preparing various fragments and slides for the presentation of the life and work of Hryhoriy Lyuty.
The work of Hryhoriy Lyuty is more relevant than ever. No matter what we talk about: the Ukrainian national idea, patriotism, love for the Motherland, universal human values - we can find answers to all questions in his works.
The moderator of the event, associate professor of the Department of Ukrainian Studies and General Language Training Tetyana Bilenko hopes that such literary events will become a new tradition at the university.
