Round table «Modern Society: Values, Science, Law and Security»
The Rector of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University Viktor Greshta took part in the round table «Modern Society: Values, Science, Law and Security» at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv organized by the V.M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Association for Social Development through Law.
Nataliya Onishchenko, Deputy Director for Scientific Work of the V.M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law, delivered a welcoming speech. Koretsky of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine.
The Chairman of the Cassation Administrative Court of the Supreme Court of Ukraine Mykhailo Smokovich highlighted the topic of the fundamental role of justice in modern society, the integration of scientists into the processes of implementing justice through the implementation of their vision of decision-making at the legislative level.
Also meaningful was the report of the judge of the Zaporizhzhia District Administrative Court, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Oleh Prudyvus on the topic «Administrative Justice as a System for Protecting Civilizational Values», within the framework of which he highlighted the problems of the implementation by the executive branch of the norms created by legislators and the system of social protection of citizens by the state.
Our compatriot, World and European swimming champion, Olympic silver medalist, People’s Deputy of Ukraine of the 8th convocation Denys Silantyev presented a topic dedicated to the relevance of science in public life in the context of the presence of a scientific component in every sphere of life, and emphasized the implementation of projects for the rehabilitation of military and civilian personnel.
During the event, together with the head of the Department of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy, Olha Kovaleva, the rector presented the activities of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University in wartime in the context of determining the fundamental role of the university in the development of modern society, in particular, they shared the experience of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University in implementing leadership initiatives to consolidate society, in particular educators, scientists, business, community representatives in the crisis realities of the development of the region, and demonstrated the results of scientific research aimed at the physical and mental rehabilitation of military personnel.
Our university continues to fulfill the tasks of a leading institution of higher education and ensures the sustainable functioning of the educational ecosystem of the Zaporizhzhia region, the formation and preservation of its human capital.
