Competitive selection for military training under the reserve officer program at the Department of Military Training of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University
From February 6, 2023, the competitive selection of citizens of Ukraine who have or are receiving a bachelor’s degree, male and female, who voluntarily expressed a desire to undergo military training under the reserve officer program at the Department of Military Training of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University began.
Candidates for admission to study may be citizens of Ukraine who are fit for military service due to their health, if they are not 43 years old at the beginning of military training.
List of documents that must be submitted for the competitive selection selection:
- Application.
- Copies of the certificate of registration with the draft board or military ID card (except for women).
- Copy of pages 1, 2, 11 of the passport of a citizen of Ukraine.
- Copy of the registration number of the taxpayer’s registration card (identification code).
In addition, each person is personally provided with a certificate of the military medical commission of the district CCC and SP.
A certificate of passing the military medical commission is obtained by a candidate from among:
- males – in the district territorial centers of recruitment and social support (military commissariat), where the student is on military registration;
- females – in the district territorial recruitment and social support centers (military commissariat), where the candidate lives.
The competitive selection consists of:
- Level of success in higher education (submitted by the dean’s office).
- A test to assess the level of physical fitness:
- standards for men: 100 m. and 1000 m. run, pull-ups;
- standards for women: 100 m. and 1000 m. run; complex strength exercise.
- A test to assess the level of mastery of the pre-conscription training program for men (school course «Defense of Ukraine») or medical and sanitary training for women (school course «Fundamentals of Medical Knowledge») and professional psychological selection, which is conducted in the form of a written test and consists of questions on pre-conscription (medical and sanitary) training and questions on psychological selection.
During the selection, the candidate must have a passport of a citizen of Ukraine, a registration certificate or a military certificate.
The cost of military training in 2022-2023 was 6900 UAH. per semester of study.
During the period of study at the department, a citizen is granted a deferment from service in the Armed Forces for the entire period of study.
