Hop On Facility Competition within the Horizon Europe Program
Dear Scientists!
The European Commission has announced the Hop On Facility Competition within the Horizon Europe Program. Its main goal is to find teams of scientists who can join and strengthen European teams.
The main advantage of this competition for scientists from our university is the simplified opportunity to participate in the Horizon Europe program by joining already funded (and active) joint projects within the Horizon Europe Pillar 2 and EIC Pathfinder competitions. Joining an already funded project is much easier than participating in a competition for a new one. Such participation requires less effort and time and will provide you with your first real experience of participating in the Horizon program, increase your visibility among colleagues and help establish new international connections in your research field.
At the moment, among scientists of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, there are already considerations about creating working groups to participate in several projects. We will clarify the main aspects of the conditions for participation. If you wish to join any of the proposed projects, you can either participate independently or seek advice from the director of the CIDECS center Pavlenko D.V.
To participate in the project:
1. Check the list of projects funded under the second axis of Horizon Europe and EIC Pathfinder and open to the Hop-On Facility: https://ec.europa.eu/info/funding-tenders/opportunities/portal/screen/opportunities/horizon/hop-on
The list is updated regularly, so check it often!
2. Consider which projects you might have relevant competences for. You should bring added value to them by performing an additional task. For example, you could propose an alternative solution to the project task or some additional work that could increase the promised profit.
3. Prepare a letter of interest that consistently describes your competences and proposal and contact the coordinator of the selected project using the «Contact» button. Or contact the CIDECS center for advice.
