Elsevier extends free access to leading scientific information databases for Ukrainian users

Elsevier supports Ukrainian researchers, academics, and students by offering free access to its tools, datasets, and educational solutions – ScienceDirect, Scopus, Researcher Discovery, SciVal, and Funding Institutional. Relevant information is presented on the official Elsevier website.

In particular, Ukrainians have access to the leading peer-reviewed literature platform for research promotion, ScienceDirect, which combines authoritative full-text scientific, technical, and medical publications with intelligent, intuitive features so that users can receive information and work more effectively.

Free access is provided to Scopus, the largest database of abstract data and citations of scientific journals, books, conference proceedings, and reviews of global research in science, technology, medicine, social sciences, arts, and humanities, along with intelligent tools for their tracking, analysis, and visualization.

The Researcher Discovery feature in Scopus will allow Ukrainian scientists to find profiles of authors and institutions to search for cooperation opportunities and build research collaborations.

The SciVal analytical web solution allows visualize research results, compare them with peers, develop strategic partnerships, identify and analyze new trends emerging in research, and create unique reports.

Also available for free is the Researcher Academy e-learning platform and the free Mendeley reference manager. Funding Institutional reveals data on the research program strategy, which helps to find grants from 4.3 thousand public and private funding organizations in a timely manner. It is important that the company decided to refuse to charge a fee for publishing articles in the open access, the authorship of which includes scientists from Ukraine. This rule applies automatically, without additional consideration and request.
