Love at first sight

Valentine’s Day is a holiday of love and lovers. On the eve of this day, many people try to give their warmth and attention to their halves, since since ancient times Valentine’s Day has been known for uniting hearts in love.

On February 13, 2013, students of Zaporizhzhia National Technical University, Zaporizhzhia Humanitarian College and Zaporizhzhia College of Radio Electronics, living in the dormitory of the ZKR ZNTU (Lenin Ave. 117a), decided to unite into one big family and organize a festive party «Love at First Sight» on the occasion of Valentine’s Day.

And what would the event be without the support of the university and college administration, the student trade union committee and the campus management, who not only provided financial assistance for equipment, but also provided the participants with a prize fund.

The holiday was held on the 4th floor in the dormitory’s game room, and although the room was not very large, it was beautiful decorated with Valentines and colorful balloons – everyone was satisfied.

The program was clearly planned and designed for students of different ages. 3 couples competed in various competitions for the title of Mr. and Miss Dormitory. The winners were Rustamov Viktor (M-719) and Dzhaha Anastasiia (MTU-142). In total, more than 80 students took part in the event. Professional equipment, smoke machine, light-laser, two professional DJs, MC and competitions – everything was like in a real nightclub. The holiday passed without conflicts, incidents and in complete understanding.
