The integration of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic University into the European educational space continues
As part of the academic mobility program ERASMUS+KA1 teachers, postgraduates and students of the National University “Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic” took part in the International Days, which took place in early March 2020 at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium.
The delegation consisted of: Head of the Department of Software, Professor Serhiy Subbotin, Professor of the Department of Software Galyna Tabunshchyk, Associate Professor of the Department of Software Anzhelika Parkhomenko, postgraduate student of the Faculty of Engineering and Physics Mykyta Aikin, postgraduate student of the Faculty of Construction, Architecture and Design Tetyana Lukyanova, postgraduate student of the Faculty of Transport, students of the Faculty of Computer Science and technologies Andriy Didenko, Artem Didenko, Neli Jragatspanyan visited the annual Job Fair, which is traditionally organized by Belgian companies and enterprises for students at the de Nieuws Campus (Sint-Katelin Wavre, Belgium). This event contributes to the successful employment of students and the establishment of ties between the university and industry for the implementation of joint scientific and educational projects.
During the visit, teachers and graduate students of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University gave lectures for international groups of students (lecture topics are available at https://iiw.kuleuven.be/denayer/international-days/sprekers/speakers-of-the-international-days-2020 ), attended lectures by their colleagues from the National University “Lviv Polytechnic” (Ukraine), Thomas More University College Mechelen-Antwerp (Belgium), Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium), University of Applied Sciences and Arts Dortmund (Germany), Polytechnic University of Madrid (Spain), Danube University Krems (Austria), and also exchanged experience in developing modern distance learning courses.
To successfully organize the implementation of the international educational project “Innovative Multidisciplinary Curriculum in Artificial Implants for Bio-Engineering BSc/MSc Degrees” [BIOART] 586114-EPP-1-2017-1-ES-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP), on March 11, 2020, a video conference was organized by the representative of the Catholic University of Leuven, Peter Arras, in which project participants from partner universities in Ukraine, Belgium, Austria, Spain, and Israel participated. During the video conference, project coordinator David Luengo (Polytechnic University of Madrid (Spain)) highlighted the current tasks of the project; Albert Treitl, a representative of the Danube University in Krems (Austria), summarized the results of the meeting of the project implementers in November 2019 in Israel; the project coordinator in Ukraine, Halyna Tabunshchyk, highlighted the status of the procurement of equipment to fulfill the project tasks, as well as pilot training at Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University and other Ukrainian universities.
The experience of organizing international cooperation, academic mobility of students and teachers will contribute to the development of cooperation with Ukrainian universities, in particular with the National University of Lviv Polytechnic, as well as the further integration of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University into the European educational space in order to increase the level of training of highly qualified specialists for the Ukrainian economy.
