Training under the «Barrier-Free Specialist» program
On August 18–20, teachers were trained under the «Barrier-Free Specialist» advanced training program. The event was organized within the framework of the implementation of the National Strategy for the Creation of a Barrier-Free Space in Ukraine for the Period Until 2030 with the support of the Partnership for a Strong Ukraine Program.
From the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, the training was attended by Andriy Ivanchenko, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, Socio-Economic Development and Youth Policy, and Oleksandr Zubrychev, Associate Professor of the Department of Design.
The program included familiarization with the key principles of barrier-free and inclusiveness, approaches to assessing the accessibility of the environment, and practical solutions aimed at taking into account the needs of different categories of people. Special attention is paid to creating conditions in which every person has the opportunity to fully study, work, communicate and develop.
The improvement of the qualifications of university representatives will contribute to the further implementation of the principles of barrier-free education in the educational environment and the improvement of university practices taking into account modern requirements of accessibility and inclusivity.
