Innovative entrepreneurship at the international level
Dmytro Plynokos, Associate Professor of the Department of Entrepreneurship, Trade and Exchange Activities, took part in the StarterAcademia program, which was conducted by the YEP company together with the University of Tartu (Estonia). The program participants worked for 3 months with teachers and mentors from Ukraine and Estonia and were aimed at more detailed study and practical experience in creating a startup team, working on a startup, preparing a presentation, pitching their ideas. Training and practical classes were held in English, which allowed to get additional practice during training and strengthen the language competence of teachers.
More than 50 teachers from various universities of Ukraine who teach or plan to teach the discipline «Innovative entrepreneurship and startup project management» joined the team work. This discipline is innovative both in its content and in the opportunities provided to students and teachers. At the end of the course, students can submit their projects to the YEP company for jury consideration, work with mentors, gain interesting experience in developing their startup, or even find investors for their own business.
This discipline is implemented in universities with the joint support of the YEP company, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of the USAID agency. The teachers of the program undergo additional international training and internship. At the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic, this discipline is taught by the most experienced teachers of the department of entrepreneurship, trade and stock exchange activity for students of the educational programs «Business Economics», «Enterprise Economics», «Management in Construction», «Project Management».
The «CODERS» team, which included associate professor Dmytro Plynokos, united colleagues from Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, Lutsk National Technical University, Kyiv-Mohyla Academy National University, and Kharkiv National University named after Karazin. The high level of qualifications, abilities and skills allowed the team of Assoc. Plynokosa D.D. to win the startup competition for teachers, which was held on December 12, 2022. During the presentation of their startup project to the Ukrainian-Estonian jury, the team received favorable reviews, both for the startup idea and for the presentation of the idea. Therefore, the team’s next step will be to try to convince the international jury in Tartu (Estonia) at the «sTARTUp Day» conference in March 2023!
