I Career Guidance Business Tournament for Senior School Students of Secondary Education Institutions and Colleges of Zaporizhzhia City «Strategy of the Zaporizhzhia Firm — 2023»
On November 24–25, consultations on the final of the I Career Guidance Business Tournament for Senior School Students of Secondary Education Institutions and Colleges of Zaporizhzhia City «Strategy of the Zaporizhzhia Firm — 2023» were held at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, during which young people had the opportunity to plunge into the risky and exciting world of market competition and try themselves as company leaders. The event was opened by the rector of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University Viktor Greshta and wished success to all its participants.
The event was organized by an intellectual technology company with the support of the Department of Education and Science of the Zaporizhzhia City Council. Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, the Out-of-School Education Institution «Center for Scientific and Technical Creativity of Youth «Polit» of the Zaporizhzhia City Council became partners of the event.
The business tournament was attended by students of grades 8-11 of secondary education institutions and students of colleges of the city of Zaporizhzhia.
After registration, each participant received an enterprise in the ViAL+ simulator, found himself in the role of its director and managed the work of all its departments: production, marketing and sales, accounting, human resources, analytical. Plunging into the risky and exciting world of market competition, the participants of the event tried to achieve the best performance of their company among competitors and win.
Students of the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University were assigned as mentors to the teams, who provided support and advice to the participants of the business tournament. The ViAL+ business simulator environment realistically recreates the structure of a manufacturing enterprise and an entire market segment, which allowed students to gain unique experience and perceive the specialty chosen for study in a different way. Teamwork contributed to creating a friendly atmosphere and achieving the best result in the interactive competition of smart company management.
Vitalii Pazdriy, CEO of LLC «Company of Intellectual Technologies», summed up the results and presented all participants of the business tournament with finalist diplomas. The winners were:
1st place – the «Moloko Kozetske» team: tournament participant Vladislav Dubrov, 1st year student of the Zaporizhzhia Aviation Vocational College named after O.G. Ivchenko; mentor Danylo Pletin, student of group BK-913 of the Faculty of Information Security and Electronic Communications.
II place – team «Dairy Khortytsia»: tournament participant Roman Bradik, 1st year student of Zaporizhzhia Aviation Vocational College named after O.G. Ivchenko; mentor Alisa Mamedova, student of group FEU-612 of the Faculty of Economics and Management.
III place – team «Dairy Dnipro»: tournament participant Hlib Shabalin, 1st year student of Zaporizhzhia Aviation Vocational College named after O.G. Ivchenko; mentor Mark Tokman, a student of the FEU-112 group of the Faculty of Economics and Management.
The Dean of FEU Vladyslav Korolkov congratulated all participants and presented valuable prizes and certificates-invitations to all events that will be held at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University in 2023 – 2024.
Levina Nataliia Vitaliyivna, Director of the Extracurricular Education Institution «Center for Scientific and Technical Creativity of Youth »Polit”, noted that participation in the tournament of talented Zaporizhzhia youth motivates them to master economic specialties and a future successful career in business.
