Guest online lecture «Features of psychological work with the civilian population after captivity»
The Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University invites everyone to a guest online lecture on the topic: «Peculiarities of psychological work with the civilian population after captivity», which will be held by Kateryna Rakityanska, crisis psychologist of the Center for Helping Survivors, Gestalt therapist, family, group, art psychotherapist, graduate of the Department of Psychology of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University (Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine).
The lectures will consider:
- needs that are not satisfied in a person who has been temporarily deprived of autonomy and the ability to control his life
- somatic, psychological, spiritual, social consequences of torture; changes in one’s own image and behavior
- what should and should not be done by a psychologist in working with the civilian population after captivity
The guest lecture is held as part of the study of the first-year master’s degree psychologists in the elective discipline «Military Psychology» (OP 053 «Psychology»), the teacher is acting head of the Department of Psychology, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Vladyslav Koval.
The lecture will be held on November 17 on the ZOOM platform. It starts at 16:30.
