Festival “Dreams come true at Zaporizhia Polytechnic University”
On May 30, for students in grades 5–11, the educational and entertainment festival “Dreams come true at Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic” was held for the third time by the Children and Youth Scientific University.
The event was opened by the rector Viktor Greshta and the director of the Youth Scientific University Olena Nazarova, who congratulated the students on the end of the academic year and wished them a bright vacation, the beginning of which was the Festival!
The entertainment program was prepared by our partners:
– bright vocal performances by students of the Center for Children and Youth Creativity of the Shevchenkivskyi District
– choreographic number by 12-year-old student Margarita Maistrenko, performance by a pop dance group “Exclusive” and a location for making a motanka doll from the House of Children and Youth Creativity of the Zavodsky District
– interactive zones “Avia-drive: create and launch!”: making foam gliders and the game “Zaporozhye Code” from the Station of Young Technicians
– activities with special equipment at the locations of the tourist destination “Tourist Rainbow” from the Kommunarsky District Center for Youth and Schoolchildren
– interactive locations: STEM lottery and “Creative HUB” — a master class on making wire products from the Zaporizhzhia Regional Center for Scientific and Technical Creativity of Schoolchildren “Grani” and the Small Academy of Sciences of Schoolchildren “Science-Hub”
– The Center for Scientific and Technical Creativity of Youth “Polit” interested the participants in subsoccer — a non-standard sitting football, as well as a location with intellectual games
– Child-friendly space “Charity Fund “Caritas Zaporizhzhia”” created a festive atmosphere with bright games “Django” and “Labyrinth on suspensions”
– Zaporizhzhia Humanitarian Vocational College held a foreign language quiz and a game-workshop “What to put in a tourist suitcase”, and as a reward for completing the tasks, treated children to delicacies
– Zaporizhzhia Professional College of Hotel and Restaurant Business impressed festival guests with delicious pancakes of different colors and shapes, decorated with toppings
Faculties of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic welcomed schoolchildren with interesting interactive activities:
– the Faculty of Electrical Engineering introduced the possibilities of mechatronics, automation and programming at the locations “Do it with Micro:bit” and “LEGO Robo-cars”
– The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering demonstrated 3D scanning, 3D modeling, and 3D printing technologies to participants at the TechnoFest location
– The Faculty of Engineering and Physics held the popular game “Norm or Stream” with fascinating riddles about metals and their properties
– The Faculty of Transport prepared a demonstration location “Living Engines: From Stirling to Hybrid”
– The Faculty of Computer Science and Technology involved participants in quizzes related to modern technologies and the use of AI
– The Faculty of Construction, Architecture, and Design offered a location “My Dream Town,” where schoolchildren fantasized, creating a map of the city of the future
– The Faculty of Law prepared an interactive location “Detective Adventures,” where our guests felt like real detectives and human rights activists, and also learned about their rights and responsibilities
– The Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports Management held darts competitions and fun relay races
– the Faculty of Humanities treated the guests of the festival with cocktails and various waffles
The Educational and Scientific Center of Experiments “Quantum” of Zaporizhia Polytechnic University organized simple experiments that demonstrated how the laws of physics work in everyday life.
At all locations, children received a special currency – “Dune”, banknotes of the Children’s and Youth Scientific University “Zaporizhia Polytechnic”, for which they could buy gifts in the souvenir shop.
The Charitable Foundation “Generation of the Future” treated the guests of the Festival with cotton candy, and water provided by the company “Single Water Delivery”. The United Nations Children’s Fund UNICEF, the online store of exclusive gifts and souvenirs “ORNER”, JSCB “PrivatBank”, the supermarket chain “Silpo” and the company “Kozatskaya Ferma” prepared many prizes and gifts for the participants.
