Festival for children “Dreams come true at Zaporizhia Polytechnic University”
On June 1, an educational and entertainment festival “Dreams Come True at Zaporizhia Polytechnic Institute” was held for students in grades 5–11. The event was organized by the Children’s and Youth Scientific University “Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic” together with reliable partners of the university.
The entertainment program that added energy to all guests of the festival was prepared by our partners:
— bright vocal performances by students of the Center for Children and Youth Creativity of the Shevchenkivskyi District
— plastic etude by a 7-year-old student of the circus art studio Center for Children and Youth Creativity of the Oleksandrivskyi District
— cheerful movements from the student government and a dance flashmob from the national team of Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University in sports aerobics
— members of the national team of Ukraine, Masters of Sports of Ukraine of international class performed dynamic movements
— activities with special equipment at the locations of the tourist destination “Tourist Rainbow” from the Kommunarsky District Center for Youth and Schoolchildren
— interactive locations with LEGO robots and a master class in radio construction “Znatok” from the Zaporizhia Regional Center for Scientific and Technical Creativity of Student Youth “Grani”
— Center for Scientific and Technical Creativity of Youth “Polit” deployed an “IQ-zone”, where participants assembled 3D puzzles and solved intellectual puzzles, as well as a location with soap bubbles
In the park area, the faculties of Zaporizhia Polytechnic also welcomed the festival guests with interesting interactive activities:
— the Department of Electric Drive and Automation of Industrial Installations introduced the possibilities of information technologies and programming at the locations “Do it with Micro:bit” and “LEGO Robo-Cars”
— the Faculty of Law prepared a detective quest
— the Department of Foreign Language and Translation treated children to treats as a reward for completing the task
— the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports Management involved guests in darts competitions, fun relay races and sports quizzes
— the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering demonstrated 3D modeling and 3D printing technologies to the participants at the location “TechnoFest”
— the Faculty of Engineering and Physics involved visitors to the quiz at the location “Territory of Power and Engineering”
At all locations, children received a special currency – “Dune”, i.e. banknotes of the Children’s and Youth Scientific University “Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic”, with which they could buy gifts in the souvenir shop. And the most active students of the “Carousel of Directions” and “3D Printing in Mechanical Engineering” circles were awarded certificates.
The “Generation of the Future” charity fund treated festival guests to cotton candy, and water was provided by the “Single Water Delivery” company. The trading company “Antoshka” prepared many prizes and gifts for the participants, “Donut Workshop” and the supermarket chain “Silpo” encouraged the guests with gift certificates.
The festival “Dreams come true at Zaporizhia Polytechnic” is the first event in the series Vacations with Zaporizhia Polytechnic. More impressions and new acquaintances to come!
