Memorial Day of the Heroes of Kruty
In January 1918, 300 students stood up to defend the young Ukrainian state 130 kilometers from Kyiv, near the Kruty station. Ukrainian soldiers and students with 16 machine guns and one cannon fought the Russians, who had a tenfold advantage.
Years pass, but the memory of the young heroes remains in our memory. The Battle of Kruty is a symbol of heroism and self-sacrifice of the young generation in the struggle for the independence of Ukraine.
On the occasion of honoring the memory of the Heroes of Kruty, the Reading Room of Economic and Humanitarian Literature prepared virtual exhibition «Heroes of Kruty – Indomitable Spirit of Ukrainian Youth»
