Science Day in Ukraine

Every year on the third Saturday of May, our state celebrates Science Day in Ukraine. The Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, given its more than 120-year history, really has something to be proud of. The rectors and professors of our university are known all over the world, today’s holiday is a great occasion to remember those who changed and congratulate those who are changing and will change our world for the better.

Yu.A. Schulte, B.S. Natapov, P.O. Mikhailov, V.S. Popov, A.D. Koval, B.S. Speransky, E.M. Potapenko, O.M. Rassalsky, V.M. Kryshchuk, B.B. Gavrylenko, B.V. Gordeev, V.P. Shapovalov… This list is endless, because every day students, undergraduates, postgraduates, teachers, professors of our university work on creating new scientific articles and developments.

Biosoluble magnesium alloy for implants in osteosynthesis, new magnesium-based alloys for the latest aircraft engine industry, development and opening of 12 bus routes in the city of Zaporizhzhia, served by large-capacity buses, improvement of the network of intercity and suburban bus routes, development and improvement of automated traffic control systems, technology of 3D printing of metal wire products using a robotic welding complex. All this and much more are today’s achievements of our colleagues.

Without science, progress is impossible, without progress, there is no future. So on behalf of the entire staff and students of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, we express our gratitude to those who work in science today, so that a modern tomorrow becomes possible.
