World Champion is the pride of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic!
On July 1, the rector of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University Viktor Greshta met with student Mykyta Kurchyk (UFKS-214) – the 2026 world champion in basketball among athletes with hearing impairments.
Mykyta brought to his native Polytechnic the gold medal of the world championship, won as part of the national team of Ukraine, once again confirming the high level of Ukrainian sports and the sports school of our university.
During the meeting, the rector sincerely congratulated the champion on his significant achievement, thanked him for the worthy representation of NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» and Ukraine on the international arena, and presented him with the Rector’s Gratitude and a commemorative watch of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnics.
Such victories are the result of many years of hard work of the athlete, the professionalism of the coaches and the support of the university community. Real champions study at Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic!
