Time to conquer space!
The public organization «Noosphere Association», the Federation of Rocket Modeling Sports of Ukraine and the information partner Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University invite you to take part in the third Noosphere Space Games competition. Senior edition.
Over 1,300 participants from almost all of Ukraine tried virtual rocket modeling in Kerbal Space Program within the framework of last year’s two competitions. This time anyone up to 24 years of age can participate, there is no minimum age.
The competition will be held in an online format based on the computer game KSP. Kerbal Space Program (abbreviated as KSP) is a computer game in the space simulation genre, belonging to the space simulation genre.
The events of the game take place in a fictional game universe, where aliens begin their space program, which develops under the control of the player. During the game, you can launch a ship into orbit or beyond, explore satellites and planets, build bases and space stations. You will have a lot of spare parts to assemble a functional spaceship that will fly (or not fly) according to realistic aerodynamics and orbital physics. Real-world analogs of programs possible in KSP include the Apollo space program, the International Space Station, the Mars Science Laboratory, etc.
Articles about KSP were even written on the NASA and ESA (European Space Agency).
Prize fund – $1500, participation is free. The format is online. The competition is held in an individual format, so there is no need to look for a team.
A challenge from the space company Flight Control Propulsion is also waiting for you. If you are a student of the last years of technical specialties in higher education institutions of Ukraine, you will have the opportunity to participate not only in the competition, but also in a separate competition. All potential candidates will get a chance to get an internship in the company, and the winner will also receive branded merch as a gift! Details will be announced after registration closes.
Participants will need to:
- assemble a rocket in the Kerbal Space Program;
- deliver a rover to Dune;
- make a trip and plant a flag;
- successfully return to the planet Kerbin.
Participants who are not familiar with the Kerbal Space Program will be able to join a separate event with a simplified mission and nice gifts.

If you do not have access to a computer or stable access to the Internet, you can register, undergo training, complete and pass the competition task at the Scientific and Educational Center «Polytechnic Space» of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, at the address: 64 Zhukovsky St., room 194-a., Zaporizhzhia. The deadline for submitting projects is March 1.
The winners will be announced on March 10.
