Chaos & Complexity: Modelling Crisis Management in the 2020’s
Within Ukraine Global Faculty, registration is open for a course of lectures on crisis management by the British professor, executive director of the Institute of Strategic Risk Management (London) David Rubens. The first lecture of the course – «Chaos & Complexity: Modeling Crisis Management in the 2020’s» – will be held on January 19 at 15:00.
After listening to the course, you will learn about the problems associated with understanding current crisis events, about the approaches needed to effectively respond to them, about the main reasons for our inability to effectively prepare for crisis events. And you will also study the structure and opportunities for managing strategic risks and crises that meet the challenges of the future generation.

About the lecturer:
David Rubens – the main facts about his professional life:
– Doctor of Science in Security and Risk Management; at the University of Portsmouth (2015) defended a thesis on alternative command and control systems for strategic management and critical decision-making in complex crisis situations;
– Professor of the European Center for Peace and Development of the UN Peace University (Belgrade) and Program Director of the International Postgraduate Program in Strategic Risk and Crisis Management; associate professor at the Berlin School of Economics and Law at the master’s program in security management and associate professor at the MBA program at the University of Gloucestershire;
– specializes in managing highly complex systems related to city management and critical national infrastructure;
– founded the Institute for Strategic Risk Management (ISRM) in 2018, which has established itself as a leading platform for academics, practitioners and policy makers in various areas related to security, risk and crisis management. Within ISRM, Rubens has developed a range of UK-accredited training programs in strategic risk and crisis management, which he delivers in workshops around the world for senior leaders in ministries and departments, corporate organizations and global NGOs.
