This lecture will introduce some advanced machine learning algorithms that allow for state-of-the-art performance for many application tasks.
About the lecturer:
Volodymyr Kuleshov is an associate professor at the Technion-Cornell Jacobs Institute at Cornell University and the Department of Computer Science at Cornell University, Ph.D.
He received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer science from McGill University, as well as a Ph.D. in computer science from Stanford University, where he received the Arthur Samuel Award for Best Thesis.
Science field His interests include machine learning and its applications in scientific discovery, health, and sustainability. His work has been published in Nature Biotechnology, Nature Medicine, Nature Communications, and Scientific American. He has received an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship and a Stanford University Postdoctoral Fellowship. He is the co-founder and chief technology officer of Afresh, a startup focused on automating the food supply chain using artificial intelligence to reduce food waste.
