120th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding aircraft engine designer – Oleksandr Ivchenko!

Oleksandr Ivchenko, uniting professionals, created his own school of aircraft engine building. Together with like-minded people, he developed new generation aircraft engines that changed our world. Oleksandr Georgievich also launched a new program, thanks to which aviation technologies were transferred to ground equipment.

Today, Ivchenko-Progress is a modern enterprise, a center for the development of scientific and design ideas. The traditions of the Oleksandr Ivchenko Design School are supported and continued by scientists of Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic University together with the designers and engineers of the enterprise, working together to create new modern aircraft engines.
