Happy National Emblem of Ukraine Day!
On February 19, we celebrate the Day of the State Emblem of Ukraine. It was on this day in 1992 that the Ukrainian trident was officially approved as the Small State Emblem of Ukraine – one of the main symbols of our statehood.
The trident has a thousand-year history. It was the sign of the princely family of Rurikovich – the rulers of Kyivan Rus, the Ukrainian People’s Republic fought under it, its image was included on the insignia of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army. In different eras, it united Ukrainians in the desire for freedom and their own state.
Today, the Trident is not only a state symbol. It is a sign of our unity, strength of spirit and invincibility. It personifies the connection of generations, faith in victory and the responsibility of each of us for the future of Ukraine.
Let the State Emblem of Ukraine inspire us to do good deeds, add confidence and remind us of the greatness of our people. Let us be worthy of our history and create the future of a strong and independent Ukraine together!
