We invite everyone to participate in the discussion panel “The Olympic Path: From Victories to Mission” on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University!

The panel will bring together Olympic champions, coaches, managers, young athletes and students to talk about the continuity of sports values, strength of spirit and inspiration that is passed down from generation to generation.

The participants of the discussion are Olympic legends of the Zaporizhia region, who will share their success stories, philosophy of victory and experience of transforming a sports career into a life calling:
– Serhiy Kushniruk – Olympic handball champion (Montreal, 1976), professor of the Department of Theory and methods of physical education, dean of the faculty of physical education, sports and human health at Berdyansk State Pedagogical University
– Olga Strazheva — Olympic champion in artistic gymnastics, Honored Master of Sports of the USSR (Seoul, 1988), director of the Municipal Institution “Regional Specialized Children’s and Youth Sports School of the Olympic Reserve in Artistic Gymnastics “Metallurg” of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council
– Olena Zhupina — bronze medalist of the 2000 Olympic Games (Sydney) in diving (synchronized diving 3 m springboard), Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine
– Anna Sorokina — bronze medalist of the 2000 Olympics (Sydney), Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine, vice-president of the Ukrainian Diving Federation, head of the technical committee for diving European Aquatics
– Oksana Raikhel — bronze medalist of the 2004 Olympics (Athens), Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine, handball coach
– Tetyana Turova — Honored Coach of Ukraine, mentor of Olympic diving medalists
– Olesya Povkh — Olympic medalist in athletics, 4×100 m relay (London, 2012), Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine, president of the Zaporizhia Region Athletics Federation
