Visit of a People's Deputy to the Zaporizhia Polytechnic
On July 24, People’s Deputy of Ukraine Serhii Shtepa visited Zaporizhia Polytechnic University to learn how the university is recovering after a series of Russian attacks.
During the meeting with Viktor Hreshta, rector of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic University, they discussed the challenges Ukrainians faced with the start of a full-scale invasion. In particular, they examined the damage to 3 buildings of the university as a result of a direct hit by a drone on July 7: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1AqzQbuP6H/
They discussed the importance of supporting educational institutions located in the front-line territories. After all, in the front-line regions, the shortage of personnel and the decrease in the level of access of young people to higher education are acutely felt. That is why the creation of special entry conditions for young people who live in the front-line territories and plan to build a professional career in their native region is important for the preservation and development of the economic and industrial potential of Ukraine.
Serhii Shtepa also presented his own book “Fear and Courage. (Non-)fictional stories”, where 15 stories close to every Ukrainian are collected. One copy was given to the rector of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic Viktor Greshta. Anyone who wants to can read the book in our library.
