Visit of the delegation of the Riga Technical University to Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic University
On July 28, an official meeting with colleagues from the Riga Technical University (Riga Technical University, Latvia) was held at the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University. The delegation included: Pauls Irbins – head of the center of aerospace technologies at the Riga Technical University and Oleksandr Narbut – scientific consultant of the Institute of Atomic Physics of the University of Latvia.
The parties discussed strategic areas of cooperation, in particular:
- exchange of educational and research materials, publications and academic information
- academic exchange program
- joint research
- development of joint PhD programs
- joint project applications for scientific research and technology development, in particular under Horizon Europe programs
Representatives of the Polytechnic and partners of the university presented the key projects that we are developing to the guests.
Rector of NU “Zaporizka Polytechnic” Victor Greshta signed a memorandum of cooperation with Riga Technical University, which provides that both parties agree to implement joint initiatives and applications in the following areas:
- Aeronautics and aerospace technologies
- Energy-efficient and circular-smart urban infrastructure
- Cyberphysical systems in energy and transport
- Materials for energy conversion and environmental monitoring
Colleagues from Riga Technical University got acquainted with the educational and scientific infrastructure of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic during a tour of laboratories and educational buildings.
One of our priorities is even deeper integration into the European educational space and the search for new opportunities not only for the university, but also for the entire community.
