An open lecture on artificial intelligence for students and teachers
An open online lecture on the topic “Lawyer in the digital age: education, thinking and artificial intelligence” was held at Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University.
The event was conducted by Yuriy Gavrilov, head of the department of the Zaporizhia Regional Prosecutor’s Office, associate professor of the Faculty of Law of the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University, candidate of legal sciences, OSINT trainer in financial investigations, expert in artificial intelligence and cyber security.
The lecture was devoted to current challenges related to the integration of artificial intelligence in legal education and professional activity. During the speech, the speaker demonstrated his own developments – author’s GPT bots JurLab, CyberIQ and a bot for monitoring places of detention, developed for the needs of education, law enforcement and public monitoring.
Listeners got acquainted with the basic principles of AI, received advice on digital security and discussed the limits of using algorithmic solutions in legal practice. Special attention was paid to the formation of digital self-discipline of students and the importance of critical thinking when working with large language models.
The event became a platform for dialogue between students, teachers and practitioners. The discussion raised issues of legal ethics, academic integrity, and the transformation of legal education in the context of the introduction of intellectual technologies.
The event was organized within the framework of the speaker’s own initiative “YGen” – a community of a new generation of students and teachers who are forming a digital legal culture.
