Webinar "Artificial Intelligence and Humanoid Robots: (When) will robots be soccer world champion?" in partnership with the Offenburg University of Applied Sciences
On May 20, a webinar on the topic of using artificial intelligence for robots to play soccer “Artificial Intelligence and Humanoid Robots: (When) will robots be soccer world champion?” was held. It was organized by the Department of Software Tools of Zaporizhzhya Polytechnic University and the Offenburg University of Applied Sciences.
The webinar was attended by about 100 people who represented Zaporizhia Polytechnic University, educational institutions of Zaporizhzhia and Ukraine.
The speaker was Professor Klaus Doerer, who spoke about the problems and prospects of teaching robots to play soccer, and highlighted the achievements of his team of researchers. The event was moderated by Serhiy Subbotin, head of the software department. During the event, the participants were interested in the details of the research and asked the speaker many questions.
The webinar was held as part of the cooperation between the Zaporizhia Polytechnic and the Offenburg University, which was launched in the spring of 2025.
