NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic» honored the laureates of the City Program for Supporting Gifted Youth!
On July 3, a solemn ceremony of awarding certificates to the laureates of the City Program for Supporting Gifted Youth of Zaporizhzhia was held in the FREETIME youth hub of NU «Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic».
This year’s ceremony was special, because this day also marked the first anniversary of the FREETIME youth hub’s summer playground. The space was created thanks to the university’s victory in the grant competition for mini-initiatives organized by the Zaporizhzhia City Council with the support of the public organizations «Youth Online» and «STEP», as well as with the assistance of the university administration and the student union.
The Rector of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University Viktor Greshta addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. He congratulated the youth on their high achievements, thanked them for their active life position and emphasized that it is the perseverance, talent and civic responsibility of students that shape the future of the university, the city and Ukraine.
The winners of the City Program were 99 students of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University, 14 students of separate structural divisions of the university and 5 young scientists. The awards were given to students who demonstrated high results in education, scientific research, sports, culture and art, community and volunteer work, and also made a significant contribution to the organization of university and city initiatives.

After the ceremonial presentation of certificates, students had an open discussion with the university rector, during which young people had the opportunity to discuss current issues of student life, university development, and implementation of new projects.
The festive day was concluded by a charity fair organized by the university faculties. All funds collected during the event will be donated to support the Ukrainian military, who are defending the Zaporizhzhia direction. Each faculty prepared a special location, presenting their own homemade delicacies and themed souvenirs. The GxBar beauty salon also joined the good cause, whose masters braided pigtails for charitable donations.
